Rapid Shopify migration and subscription launch for Vaas & Zo
Migrating a Dutch lifestyle brand from WordPress to Shopify and launching a subscription model in six weeks — live and stable ahead of a nationwide ING Bank campaign.
The challenge
Vaas & Zo's WordPress site couldn't handle recurring subscription orders and struggled with traffic spikes. The timeline was non-negotiable — the new platform had to be live before ING Bank's national campaign launched, without dropping sales or breaking SEO in the middle of the switchover.
What we did
- Executed a rapid WordPress-to-Shopify migration with clean information architecture, preserved URLs and 301s to protect organic traffic.
- Launched a Shopify Subscriptions setup with flexible scheduling, skip and pause flows and a portal built into the theme.
- Hardened the store for campaign-driven traffic spikes — CDN, image pipeline and template performance tuned before launch.
- Delivered the entire build in an agile 6-week sprint with weekly check-ins, so the store went live on schedule and campaign-ready.
